The game with three doors
Three doors, one car, two goats: play the guessing game yourself, decide to stay or switch, and take your rounds with you as R code, CSV or RDS.
What you will learn
With this demo you play the guessing game with three doors yourself, and afterwards you can:
- describe the course of a round from your pick and the door the host opens to the choice between staying and switching
- read from the running statistic over many rounds whether staying or switching wins more often
- copy your rounds as R code with one vector per column, or save them as CSV and RDS, and analyse them further in R
Goal: Play the guessing game with three doors yourself and collect rounds to find out whether you win more often when you stay with your door or when you switch.
How to use: Pick a door. The host then opens another one with a goat behind it, and you stay with your door or switch to the last closed one. Next to the doors a statistic counts how often staying and switching win, and on request the game shows all rounds as R code to copy or saves them as a table, as a CSV file or an RDS file with one row per round. The rounds stay stored in this browser until you choose "Start over".
